Tips & Inspiration
- When submitting electronically, try to follow up with a hard copy of your resume, whenever allowed or possible. This keeps your name fresh in the minds of those that are reading the resumes.
- Although it looks nice to have coordinating envelopes, your resume looks its best if submitted in a white catalog envelope, as to avoid the creases in your document. This also makes it stand out more from the other mail.
- Keywords aren’t going to magically win an interview, it takes experience and no amount of keywords are going to make up for deficits.
- Personal marketing is the key to finding another job... Posting your resume is no guarantee, but hands on searching and networking can make things happen.
- Networking is a constant and not a last minute panic... Keep up with business aquaintances and associations, not just when you “need” them.
- To accomplish anything requires elbow grease and hard work... Finding the job that you seek will too, but it’s worth it.
